                The guide's advice
If you come on foot or by bike, you can take the Via Rhôna: a greenway from Espiguette to the natural car park at Les Baronnet. Between marshes and ponds, it offers exceptional views of the Camargue Gardoise and provides a comfortable, traffic-free route to the Espiguette nature reserve. It’s the perfect route for cycling and walking enthusiasts! A guaranteed warm-up before the climb to the lighthouse!
Good to know: The natural parking area is free for cyclists and pedestrians and has a bicycle park. You can leave your bicycle securely locked up.
Bicycles are not permitted on the footbridge (known as the decking).

The lighthouse has been awarded the Accueil Vélo label.
The Espiguette lighthouse is proud to display the Accueil Vélo label, a national recognition awarded to establishments that offer a welcome and services specially adapted to cyclists. Whether you are travelling along France’s cycle routes or exploring the magnificent Camargue region of the Gard, you will find a place here that has been designed with you and your bike in mind!
Service providers undertake to welcome cycling holidaymakers in good conditions, with specific services and equipment, not forgetting to pamper their bikes!
The lighthouse is located right next to a greenway, offering the ideal setting for a refreshing break after a few kilometres of cycling. You can stop off here and enjoy a warm welcome, with facilities designed for the comfort of cycle tourists and their two-wheeled companions.

                The Espiguette Lighthouse footbridge
The Espiguette nature reserve, classified as a Grand Site de France, is subject to the Natura 2000 habitat directive. For this reason, access is via a footbridge that crosses over the dune to prevent damage. This is an opportunity to discover the sensitive environment of the dune massif and its temporary wetlands. During your journey through the sand dunes, you will have the opportunity to discover blockhouses, remnants of the Second World War, which have become a truly chaotic backdrop.
Information:
Length of the footbridge: approximately 350 metres
Difficulty: easy, suitable for families
Five steps at the start, two sets of four steps in the middle of the path and 16 steps at the lighthouse.

Access for persons with reduced mobility
We have four parking spaces suitable for vehicles transporting people with reduced mobility at the foot of the lighthouse. Access is available on request via the intercom at the entrance gate, which can be reached from the Route de l’Espiguette before the toll booth at the Baronnets natural car park (this is the entrance marked ‘except for services’).
Only the ground floor of the lighthouse is accessible to people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users. A 360° model allows you to admire the view from the top of the lighthouse.
