20th century heritage

The various buildings on the Espiguette estate are part of a large wine-growing complex with high white walls and elegant stone columns. In 1962, the National Technical Association for the Improvement of Viticulture (Antav) was created by professional organisations that chose the Espiguette estate to plant vines.
In 1969, two complexes were built by architect Joseph Massota: a national technical establishment for the improvement of viticulture (Antav) and an experimental wine-growing centre (Sicarex-Méditerranée). On the wall of the old cellar along the road, there is a mural made of glazed lava tiles by artist Pierre Saint-Paul, depicting a stylised sun, the sea and three bottles of wine (red, white and rosé).
